Strut work

Well, the work is finally done. We splash tomorrow, leave on Saturday.
Here are some pics: the prop cleaned, polished & balanced; the strut reinforced and solid in its socket. A little primer and some paint and we're done.

A bittersweet day.

This will be the final entry in this blog.
Today Walkure met her new owners, Dave and Connie.
Bev and I are a bit emotional right now. We knew it had to be done, but she was our home for almost 5 years. Dave and Connie are dedicated Bolger people so I'm sure they will love and care for her as we did.
While we didn't get our asking price, our budget now has a substantial infusion of cash. This will make repairs more affordable on Queequeg, and give us a reserve for our trip north.
To all who have followed our adventures thank you.
I will be posting a link to Dave and Connie's blog.
Good luck Dave and Connie. Take care of our baby!

An offer

A lovely young couple have made an offer Walkure. I have not yet accepted it as it's kind of low.
Before I tell them yes or no, I would like to hear from anyone else that might be interested in making an offer.

Please note that these photos were taken today showing current condition of the boat. Anything you see in the pics is included with the boat.
Come on folks, this is a GOOD deal on a great boat!

For anyone interested in buying Walkure, here are some interior shots.
